Placing objects in the 3D Space can be overwhelming. Here we simplify that. Positioning and Rotating a spot in Fectar Studio is simple and easy.
Position and Rotate Spots in 3D Space
Open Fectar Studio, go to a Space, and Select the Spot you want to edit. The properties tab will open, and you will see on the right side Position and Rotation.
For Spots to have different positions in 3D Space, a Spot needs 3 Values. The X-value, the Y-value, and the Z-Value.
- A positive X-value places a spot on the right-hand side and a negative on the left-hand side.
- A positive Y-value places a spot in the upward direction, and a negative value in the downward direction.
- A positive Z-value Places a spot backward, and a negative value a spot forwards.
- For all values you can fill in, (0), Zero means that the object is entirely centered.
In the properties tab on the right-hand side, you can fill in the X, Y, and Z -values you need.
Note: All position values are in Centimeters, so for 1 Meter, you fill in 100.
Rotating a Spot in Fectar Studio
Every Spot in Fectar Studio has a Rotation property. This will rotate the Spot around the Y-axis.
Most of the time, you only need to rotate around the Y-Axis. But if you want to, you can turn your Spot around the two other axes. Click on Advanced near the rotation property to get two additional fields. X-axis and Z-axis. This makes the Rotation property similar to the position property with X, Y, and Z fields, each field representing each axis in the 3D Space.
Change the values in the three fields to rotate the Spot in the different axes X, Y, or Z.
